You know exactly what these are. That round belly, those beady eyes, arms out like they're coming in for a hug — and a shock of wild neon hair that refuses to be sensible.

The original good luck troll was created in 1959 by Danish woodcutter Thomas Dam, inspired by trolls from Scandinavian folklore. By the 1960s they were one of the biggest toy crazes in the world, and by the 90s they were everywhere — on keyrings, on pencils, lined up along every windowsill and dashboard in the country. Also known as Dam Dolls, they're one of those objects that hits you right in the childhood the second you see one.

These miniature troll dolls stand about 2.5cm tall (around 6cm including the hair) and are every bit as charismatic as the originals. Perfect as a novelty desk companion, a nostalgic gift, a stocking filler, or a tiny burst of joy for your junk journal or craft supplies stash — or just because your inner child saw them and wasn't taking no for an answer.
