About
How this all started
I'm Ellen - designer and illustrator with a particular weakness for old, beautiful things and a habit of obsessing over small sentimental details.
In 2023, my husband and I bought our first house together. Built in 1869, a cottage with lots of quirks that was once a sweet shop. I loved spending weekends sourcing vintage homeware to match its character. It gave me a stronger appreciation for things made by hand, built to last, impossible to replace once they're gone.
My mum has run an antique store for years, and I've always admired her eye for sourcing and her depth of knowledge. This is me applying that, in my own way.
Sourcing vintage led to the bundles - a mix of old and new, of one of a kind bundles to gift or keep. For Sunday afternoons. Intentional solitude. Embracing change. Each one built for actual feelings, not only aesthetics. Affordable and pre-curated.
The name
"Subject to Change" is a reminder that evolution isn't a test, there's no right or wrong. It's ok to pivot, figure things out as we go, try things that might not work. You're allowed to do the same (not that you need my permission).
What you'll find here
Everything is something I'd use myself or give to someone I care about. Quality over quantity, specificity over trends, honest limitations over promises. No dropshipping, no mass-produced aesthetics, no pretending I have it all figured out.
This is a small operation - just me, running it while figuring it out, making decisions based on what feels right rather than what scales easily.
Based in Oxfordshire, shipping across the UK.
