Fure Fure Me Shaker Mechanical Pencil 0.5mm in Yellow

Fure Fure means "shake shake" in Japanese — and that's exactly how this pencil works. A gentle shake up and down extends the lead automatically, so you can keep writing without stopping to click or re-grip. The top button works too, if you prefer.

The Fure Fure Me is a Japanese stationery staple: slim, lightweight (11g), and finished with an understated grid pattern on the barrel that keeps it looking tidy without being boring. The Yellow colourway is cheerful without being loud — the kind of thing that makes a pencil case look more considered than it is.

The tip retracts completely when not in use to protect both the lead and whatever it's sitting next to. The eraser is capped and refillable. There's also a hole in the clip if you want to thread a charm through it — which is, in our view, entirely the right way to use a pencil.
