Uni-ball ONE F Gel Pen

One of the better everyday gel pens going, and one of the more popular ones in the Japanese stationery community for good reason. The One F's ink uses large pigment particles that sit on the surface of the paper rather than absorbing into it — which means the black comes out genuinely dark and crisp, not washed out or grey. Fast-drying, fade-resistant and water-resistant.

The barrel is wider than a standard pen with a lower centre of gravity, which gives it a surprisingly balanced, comfortable feel in the hand — particularly over long writing sessions. The spring-loaded metal clip is distinctive without being showy, and the retractable nib means no cap to lose. 

Choose your barrel colour and tip size above: 0.38mm for fine, precise lines; 0.5mm for a slightly smoother, broader stroke.
