Fure Fure means "shake shake" in Japanese — and that's the whole mechanism. A gentle shake up and down advances the lead automatically, no clicking or re-gripping required. The top button works too for when you're feeling traditional.

The White colourway pairs a clean, minimal body with an understated grid pattern on the barrel — quiet enough to use anywhere, distinctive enough to actually notice in a pencil case. Slim and lightweight at 11g, it's comfortable for long writing sessions without any of the bulk of chunkier ergonomic pencils.

The tip retracts fully when not in use, the eraser is capped and refillable, and there's a hole in the clip for charm customisation if you're that way inclined. Made by Pilot in Japan, where the Fure Fure has been a classroom and desk staple since 1978.
